The BEGE Galleries in Ulm will showcase current works by the young German artist Leon Löwentraut at their gallery on Saumarkt starting Saturday, March 18, 2023. On display are 17 vividly colorful paintings, including the titular piece "Together & Alone," most of which were created in his studio in Portugal - these works are dominated by shades of orange, red, and pink. Additionally, four of his famous charcoal drawings, two sculptures, and the new limited edition print "Lost Horizon," released in honor of his 25th birthday, will be presented.

Together & Alone - this paradox of being together and being alone is a central feeling of life for many, especially for young people. The pursuit of individuality and solitude is juxtaposed with the necessity and desire for togetherness. Enduring this paradox, grappling with individuality in the midst of community - this is also the theme of the exhibition "Together & Alone" by the young artist Leon Löwentraut, who is only 25 years old.
Leon Löwentraut: "On one hand, there is the social community to which one feels a sense of belonging, but at the same time, solitude is also being cultivated more and more." For the still young artist Leon Löwentraut, this is a constant oscillation between worlds.
