ADDICTION

On September 29th, Leon Löwentraut and Galerie Gerald Hartinger will celebrate the beginning of their collaboration with the opening of the exhibition "ADDICTION" in Vienna. The exhibition title describes Löwentraut's intention and artistic practice in just one word. His addiction to painting drives him, as he has been captivated by art since early childhood. The artist's greatest inspiration comes from encounters with people. These impressions and experiences are infused into his intense painting process, where powerful colors and forms play a significant role. Löwentraut created all 12 unique pieces of the exhibition in this year with a majority of them originating in his second home, Portugal. The vibrant color palette and the lights of the Portuguese Algarve ignite his creativity. Löwentraut's extensive oeuvre, which he has accomplished in just a few years, includes not only paintings and drawings but also sculptures. This exciting variety in his body of work explains the "ADDICTION" of the young painter.
